| | CJ5 Swing-out spare tire mount I am in the the process of a semi-restoration of my 80 CJ5. I am looking for the OEM type swing out spare tire mount that came with the CJ in 1980. Anyone have any leads on where to pick one up...new or used.
Thanks

| | There is a Jeep parts yard in Erie, just a little over an hour north of you. It is on the east side of I-25, I think they still have a Jeep up on the roof to make it easy to find. North of Highway 7, south of Highway 52. I can get you more specific info, including name & phone if you want it.

| | CJ-5 Swing-out tire carrier FYI for those of you who do not know a OEM CJ-7 swing-out tire carrier will not work on a CJ-5. I have been talking with DeputyDawg about buying his 7 carrier and after comparing tailgate snaps my 5 has the gas filler more to the left that a 7. Therefore no workie..the lower bracket shares the same location and the gas filler.
