NAPA and Shucks do not show them online, they show rebuild kits though. Quadratec and 4wheelerssupply both list them online.

NAPA does list a Master cylinder for YJ's (1990) that looks just like the CJ one. I wounder what is different and if it could be made to work. The most likely difference would be the threads for the line but that could be fixed with a conversion fitting.

80-86 CJ Clutch Master Cyl?

Are you sure? My 84 CJ had mechanical linkage. I don't think they went to hydraulic until about 88 or 89.

Default cj 8 scrambler cluth hyd set up

ok here the the two main pcs you need to do hyd clutch the hyd master cyl mounts and connects to the clutch pedal via the rod/ring... and works just like your brakes, the hyd fuild when pedal compressed goes down the metal line to the the other part which is bolted to the lip edge of the bell housing and engarges the clutch fork. you will have to get a new tube hose that goes between the two or you can just use brake line and coil the line for the needed flex between them..take a look at the pic... i think you will find that if you look on ebay or price both of these as a kit they cost around $300.00 ,, i will sell both of these for $75.00 and whaterver the shipping is to you...

The only thing I will be interested in is the master cylinder. do you know the history of it? Has it been rebuilt or anything?
Thank you

i dont think it has been rebuilt... it was on a parts cj8 i bought for the frame... it worked four years ago when i pulled the parts jeep to my home from nebr city which is about 50 miles away... i stripped everything i wanted off it swapped the frame for my rebuild and have been selling off anything i dont need.... i cleaned out the old fluid and had it wrapped up in a plastic bag to keep dirt out of it... i never used it as anything that was on my jeep cj8 that was working ok, i just kept . it does look like it could used a new cap on top. make me a offer.
