| | guage questions Where does the oil pressure guage hook up on a chevy 4.3?
I don't see anywhere to hook it up, I was thinking it would be near the oil filter...
Also, can I splice an electric temp. guage to the existing sensor that the fuel injection is using, or will that skew the readings?

If I understand your first question correctly? You're looking for the oil pressure sender on the motor...right?
If so, it's right beside the distributor, WAY in the back, on the driver's side of the engine, or at least it is on a '90 4.3 Chevy.
Sorry I can't help you with the other question at all.
Good luck!

| | It's just like Leve shows....on the back by the dist...
I pulled a plug out near my oil filter and plugged in my factory CJ oil sending unit.
I basically did the same thing for the temp sending unit...I pulled a plug in a water jacket off the right head and plugged the temp sender in there.
I did this because I didn't want to cross the computer related sensors with the CJ gauges.
You really don't want to splice anything in. Most gauges are in reality current loop types....put something in parallel and it screws it all up.
