SoCal is kinda large.....
Do you mean LA, San Diego or the desert area North of LA?

I'm going to guess the Palmdale/Lancaster area.....

Big Bear is one of your closest areas for good trails....lost of jeep clubs up there and in the area you live in....I don't personally know of any up there....but I would suggest checking out a local 4x4 parts store....they should have some good references.

If you just want to meet some jeepers and go wheeling, I get out a few times a month. Next trip is to Stoddad Valley middle of April.

Near Palm Springs and the area - Desert Side Tracks - we have a website - but most communication is through Yahoo Groups. Go to Yahoo - left side - click on "groups" - do a search there. Mostly local runs including lots of Big Bear runs. But sometimes we range as far as Parker AZ and the Rubicon, Moab etc. Next Rubicon trip is in the planning stages for this summer.
Last weekend was Parker with the Parker 4 Wheelers event.
Meeting second Tue every month 7:00 PM - Palm Springs - last few were at Denny's Indian and I-10 - but we are looking for a bigger place.

And we recently formed a new club in Yucca Valley - HiDesert4x4. No website yet - but we use the Yahoo newsgroups too - same thing, search there.
Our intent is to have at least one run every weekend! Last weekend was Stoddard Valley.
Already about 45 members.
Meeting first Thursday every month - Carrows in Yucca Valley, 7PM.

Call or e*mail me for further info - 760-364-2666
rrmotts@yahoo.com

Also check the IN GEAR magazine by California 4 Wheel Drive Association - if not already a member - go to their website.

I'm sure it would help if you gave your location rather than just CA.
