Default did i get scammed?

i bought a wiring harness that was labeled as painless wiring kit #10110 for a jeep cj7.

but im working on installing it now. it came with the painless instruction manual.
in the instructions it says all the wires are numbered. none of them are.
and a lot of the color codes in the instructions arent matching up with colors on the harness.

i tried calling painless but theyre closed on weekends.
did i get scammed?

Well what does the fuse panel look like? Do you see a product like it on the Painless website?

I'm not sure if painless has pics of their fuse panels on their site. I was looking for them for my CJ because some of the lettering was worn off some of mine.

The surest way to tell is to send a picture of it to Painless and ask if it's theirs. If it isn't, you'll want their statement anyway for documentation purposes.

I bought a painless kit for a 70's era CJ5 a few years ago. The wires were not numbered. They were printed. For example - the high beam wires were printed high beam. The manual itself looked like it was printed on a laser printer. The document was printed well enough but did not look like a 'professional' job. The kit came from 4 Wheel drive hardware. Things may have changed in the last few years.

well ive sorted out most of the wires and made quite a bit of progress.
im still not too sure if this is a harness from painless performance or not though, ill call and find out on monday.
and let you all know so "if it was a scam" (not saying it is just yet) you all can be a little more cautious of what you buy on the internet.
