Default buick 350 \"wide block\"

i read in two different places buick 350 wide block. besides being wide, whats the difference? any advantages or good qualities? did they make a standard block? just curious

What do you want it for? The only thing it shares with a chevy 350 is the displacement. I'd think it would make a good boat anchor.

The buick is just wide. There is only one version of the buick 350. Jeep even used them from about 68-70
