Well you got lucky then, on the one I did they were NOT the same, the length might have been but not the inner seal.
As far as the other difference with the hub I mentioned look at the pic. The red arrows are what was different.
The red arrow on the inside of the hub is exactly the shape the 75 drum hubs were. Remember the rotors mount on the inside of the hub and that rounded edge wouldn't let the rotor lay flat against where the lug studs go through. The hubs from a 77 & 83 were machined like the green arrow and looked like the lug stud surface was machined also.
