Default 89 YJ Tub with 94 TJ Windshield

I have an 85 CJ that I replaced the tub on. The replacement tub is an 89 YJ tub, and I picked up a 94 Wrangler Windshield. I have run into a snag with the new windshield and the original CJ defroster. The CJ defroster came through the windshield. Short of cutting holes in the new windshield, does anyone have an idea for a work around? How do the late 90's models defroster route to the windshield? I know this is a popular swap, but there isn't a lot of info regarding this specific issue. Can anyone help me out?

1. The cutting of mating holes in the tub and the windshield frame is,
2. By far the easier solution.

It *is* addressed in most write-ups...start cuttin'
YJ's defrost routes out the front of the dash (behind the pad) and out through ducts in the back of the pad.

You may want to edit your subject line before someone gives you crap about a '94 being a YJ, not a TJ...oh wait I just did

And as stated above, the best solution is to cut the necessary slots in the YJ windshield frame. Make sure you use some quality paint/sealer around the holes so you don't invite rust.

Thanks for the follow up, cutting it is.

Leve, I'm sure you saved me from rash static from the YJ TJ thing. I appreciate the edit.

Thanks again for the info. Let the cutting begin.
