Default O/T Isuzu automatic locking hubs

My brother has a 95 Isuzu trooper that has a busted front auto locking hub. Other than the dealer, anyone have some good places to find the automatic hubs?

thanks---Jud

Superwinch makes replacement manual hubs for most models that work well. I had to put some on a '91 Trooper once. I don't know of anyone that hasn't had trouble with automatic hubs if they use them at all. I would swap them for manual hubs.

Damn, how did he break one of those? They are rugged, I managed to have one strip the outer splines off the axle shaft, hub is still fine. I've been wanting to go to manuals, just don't like the idea of an auto, but they have worked fine so far. If he likes the autos, I'd be willing to trade some manuals for my autos, which I just tore down and regreased last month.

There was someone on the Zuki BBS that swapped the Zuki (and Toyota) Aisin hubs onto their Trooper, but I don't know what year it was (2nd Generation Trooper though).

Yea, from what I've been told, only the Trooper II's can do the swap. And I have no idea how he broke it, he amazes me sometimes. I just think the dealer is ripping him off for $300 a hub.
