OT - Does Coleman fuel go bad?

The local True Value is going out of business. They have about 15 cans of Coleman fuel for lamps and stoves. I only use about 1 can per year, but they are selling it for 40% off. If I buy a couple of cans, will it be good 2-3 years down the road if the can is sealed and never opened?

My girlfriend said if I spent one more dime on my Jeep she would leave. Man I'm going to miss her!

Re: OT - Does Coleman fuel go bad?

I used a half a can that was in my fathers basement for many years, and it worked like a champ in the lanterns. By many years, I mean over 13 years! We lost power and needed lights and it was the only thing available.

I'm sure it can go bad. It is just a really refined gas. But like the others have said..............I have used some really old stuff with no problems either.

If I remember what my father said once (Don't count on it I probably wasn't listening.) Its the water that will make it go bad. So as long as they are sealed they should be fine.
