what's the average life of a mud tire in general. Let's say one that 80% driving time on the pavement.  90 XJ 4.0L 5spd |

I've heard that the BFGs last about 40-50 k. If thats accurate or not, Im not sure, no experience with them.

One more thing...buy the full-size spare. Even if you use an old wheel or an off-brand tire or used tire, get a 31 x 10.5 spare. If you never use it, cheap insurance...
