Looking for a Carb

I own an '85 CJ7, I'm looking for a new carburetor, I found an ad for one in my local paper, but for a carb from an 80 CJ, will it fit and work with my CJ7? What specifications should I be looking for? Thanks for any help!

Well, I have an 87 YJ. I blew the engine and am getting a rebuilt unit (258) but going the non-emissions route. I talked to a Lordco dealer about getting a non-emissions 2bbl Carter off a late 70's CJ. He said it would fit my YJ manifold and a rebuilt unit would only be $125 Canadian. I am sure if a late 70's CJ carb would fit my YJ manifold you will have no problems at all. Hope this helps.
