Default grand cherokee\'s are unibody...?

my friend just bought a '96 Grand Cherokee and is trying to convince me that he's going to put a body lift on it. I told him that it wasn't possible, and that the GC's frame and body were all one piece. I am right aren't I?

Yes, all Grand Cherokees are uni bodied and as such cannot have body lifts. They can have suspension lifts.

I have a 97 gc with 30x9.5. Stock so far. Anyone have any thouhgts on how to avoid crunching the exhaust pipe and muffler etc. no matter how careful i am the rocks on the trails we go over are taking a toll on my exhaust system.
Other than staying off the trails or getting major lifts, i don't have the solution yet.
I may consider a small lift but will that do the job, and i don't want to get into changing the driveline to accomodate this.

all thoughts would be appreciated.
Thnaks in advance

Other than a suspension lift, the only thing I could suggest is mounting skid plates under the muffler. I don't think any vender offers them though and any such thing would have to be a do it yourself project. Good Luck!!
