Default nuetral safety switch

having problems with my 94 jeep, When I started it up some mornings it will run real rough and die, then won't restart. Not even attempting to turn over. But after a few minutes it will start up like normal. Not sure what could be causing this intermittent problem. Heard it could be the neutral safety switch? But it doesn't seem to matter rather I have it in Park or neutral. Any leads in this problem would be greatly appreciated.

A neutral saftey switch allows you only to start in park or neutral. If it was bad you could crank with it in gear. It's probably not your problem. Let me know what you find. Later,Andy 89XJ 4.0 5-speed

I don't think it is the neutral switch either. There is a posting on this board, titled "map sensor". One of the threads suggests that an intermittent stalling problem might be caused by a defective crankshaft position sensor. It might also be another part of the ignition system. Check it out. Good luck!

I have a similar problem, (not the stalling) it is the nuetral safety switch that is not alowing it to restart after you put it in gear and shut it off and try to restart cold.
