select track/quadra track

My mom is looking at a grand cherokee, which transfer case do you guys think is better? I personally like the select track with 2wd, 4 hi, full time 4wd, and 4LO, but she likes the other one. Does anyone know how good the quadra track is with all wheel drive and 4LO is in the snow? I don't think it would be as good as having 4hi b/c you have to wait for wheel spin for it to lock in, and if it locks in from spinning on the snow will it stay locked in and make the thing lurch around a turn like 4hi does? I think the select track full time would be better in snow, and lock it in 4hi in the deep stuff. Sorry about the long post but I have no experience with the grand cherokee.

Re: select track/quadra track

I've heard both are decent set-ups, but more people/off-roaders prefer the Select-trac for gas milage and selectable power transfers.
