Default Looking at lifting my jeep need input

I am looking at lifting my 99 jeep wrangler and would like some input. I want to consider the brand of lift kit and the items that in the long run I will be glad I went with as well as looks. I was thinking a 4" lift with 35 tires don't know about their width.

Default Jeep lift reply

Depends what you want...are you gonna be doing the type of off roading that requires a lot of clearance or will it be primarily street oriented with the remaining time spent off road?. All that weight equates to decreased mileage and a real lack of power, I would suggest a mild lift kit with great quality, the Old Man Emu suspension package is a great choice, however I believe you will be limited to utilizing a 31"-32" tire size on 15" wheels.

well your definitly not gonna fit 35s on a 4 in lift unless you want to cut your fenders like crazy
i have a 95 cherokee with a 4.5in lift and can only fit 32s without cutting the fenders or rubbing the tires when there tucked
i would go wtih the 4in procomp add a leaf kit
its worth the 800 bucks and you can still drive it on a day to day basis
it might get rougher than it was when it was stock but thats just what happens when you lift a jeep
