Question long arm suspension

I am looking into IROs new 7in suspension kit for my recently purchased 98 zj. The kit looks great the only thing holding me back is the 2500.00 price tag. Is there a way to achieve the same clearance without the big expense... not sacrificing quality or integrety? I thought about going with a 4.5in suspension lift and adding some 3in coil spacers but am unsure as to wether the price of then having to upgrade traction bars etc. would make it just as pricey the 7in full suspension. Any ideas would be great...

The aftermarket suspension you choose will likely be the most important invenstment you'll make when building your rig. Safety and performance should not be over looked...so for a well designed and built product, such as the IRO long arm kit, I'd say save your money until you have enough to purchase their suspension. You won't be sorry....and you could be sorry by trying to cut corners, mismatching pieces and hoping to save a few bucks. Also look at spending the money only once. Chances are that if you piece together a kit, it will necessitate more parts to achieve a kit that is still inferior to the IRO product. You'll spend less by doing it right the first time. Check out the review of an IRO suspension on the home page today.

For what they provide it looks as if maybe there are actually a better deal due to the kit being fully functional and extremely well built. If you were to compare them with other lifts offered i do believe that you find them worth every penny. thats what the wife is going to get on het cher.

Another company that makes an awsome long arm kit for your zj is BDS. Although it is 200$ more than IRO. Listen to those guys, spend money to save money

From everything I heard while researching long arms Clayton Offroad seems to make the best kit. However it is a weld on kit.

The bump steer at 7" would be insane with a short arm lift. Addtionally using 3" spacers would also creat unwanted suspension limitations, safety issues etc.

As has already been suggestioned, I would wait until you can get a kit designed for these heights.
