Default Cherokke vs Grand Cherokee

What are the main differences between the two. Is one better than the other?

Thanks,
Bill

A grand is bigger and heavier and less easy to modify for off road use. Parts are way more expensive and there's a lot more gremins in Grands than in XJ's. A grand has the 4.0 i6 or a V8. XJ's have 2.5 i4's or the 4.0 i6.

And to add to what Nix is saying, the XJ's also can be had in right hand drive, and they also had small diesel's in them although I think that was a European thing only, not sure if I recall anyone saying the had bought one here in the states.

I will add that in my expeirence with both, the "grand" in Grand Cherokee stands for what 90% of your repair bills minimum cost is going to be, the cherokee has definatly been better for me
