Default Engine dies

Just running along highway speed or slower, sometimes cold, sometimes warmed up. Things we've done. checked fuel press (good), changed plugs, air filter, changed CPS. XJ has reman injectors all and the air box has been punched out for more air flow.

Any help here.

I had an old '89 that had a bad ignition switch. When the switch heated up my Jeep would die. Might be something to check. It should be located near the bottom of the steering column.

Dies - let it sit awhile, starts up and runs fine - till it dies again? Each time it runs it runs for a shorter time, each "sitting dead" takes longer before it starts?

If so, - Sounds like a typical CPS failure. Eventually it won't start at all.

Next time it dies, Disconnect the CPS connector, then reconnect it. Sometimes that'll get it running again without waiting. Not a cure, but it may get you home.

But of course, it could be one of several other things too.
