Default Relay wiring for headlights question

I got two 40A relays to run my headlights off of. Could someone tell me how to wire the relay? I remember seeing a link for this awhile back but I can't seem to find it now. Thanx for any help you can give. NORM

You will usually have a wiring digram on the relay package, but if you run a wire from the headlight switch(low beam) to terminal 85 then run a wire from terminal 86 to ground. Next run a wire from the "+" battery terminal to terminal 87 and another wire from terminal 30 to the new headlight socket. You will have to run a wire to ground for the new headlight socket also. Then repeat the whole thing for the high beam circuit. Good Luck!!

Check Stumpbreaker's posts or PM him directly. He has posted several threads re: headlight mods.

The install went great! I now have H4 headlights 90/130A through 40A relays via 14Ga wire. Yeah. They're bright. :cool
