No less than 2 1/2".

Good luck finding the perfect exhaust for maximum torque and HP. A crosspipe (as mentioned earlier) allows the exhaust to equalize itself on high performance engines. Seems as though a dual exhaust system is not ideal anymore although it's all I ran on my Camaros. Now days they say the optimal exhaust is a large single exhaust pipe.

Not speaking from any experience here but JC Whitney had an exhaust tip with a flap that closed at lower RPM's and opened up at higher RPM's that you welded on. Don't know if that would help you have the best of both worlds or not.

I have collected 2 decent pictures of it.. this is the 3rd.

And the answer is yes.. that's what I'm building, only a little different.

Here's a shot of it from the rear. It was parked a few jeeps down from mine at Camp Jeep #10 in VA. Didn't meet the owner but it was a well executed project. Whoever did it did a particularly nice job of terminating the cab- looked damned near factory.....

I am just hoping my body work comes out 1/10th that nice.

Interesting rear window. Looks like it's out of a full size pickup.

He did a bunch of detail work differently than I plan to do initially.

Any other info on it? It looks like he took a Comanche and added the rear of the cab, I am taking a Cherokee and adding a bed. They each have their own set of problems.

Thanks for the picture!

As I said i didn't get to speak w/the owner but it looked to me as if he spliced a 97+ xj front to a Commanche long bed at the B pillar.
