Default difference between 4.0 and 4.0 high output??

What is the difference between the 4.0 and 4.0 high output?? will all the engine mods fit either one that are made for 4.0 or is there certin ones for the high out puts??

I have yet to see a mod that wouldn't work on either. The HO has a different head on it but I believe most of the rest is the same with the exception of the Fuel injection.

4.0 is old renix ignition/engine control and 4.0 ho has chysler controls and head/intake improvements. About 20 hp too I think. $o.o2

Throttle body spacers are not interchangable. I think the 4.0L has a 3 bolt patten and HO uses a 4 bolt pattern. Actually I dont think I've ever seen one for a non HO.

I have had the chance to speak with some jeep tech's at a local dealership asking the same question..Stronger main bearings was mentioned also

Non HO's arew also referred to as Lowports.
