Default Need a Motorcarft ignition sys and 401 Flywheel....

Could anyone help me out on this? It the last thing i need for my swap...

As I recall, my 401 had a Motorcraft carb, but a Prestolite Distributor. Wrecking yards should have them as well as parts stores for a rebuilt one. Mallory makes a Uni-lite distributor and Performance Distributors makes a GM HEI-type that will work, probably much better than the Prestolite. Not sure on the flywheel though.

I know this ) That is the reason i am lookin for a Motorcraft dist and wiring.. It will fall right in and no problem...

I believe that all 401's came with an auto tranny but maybe wrong.
4wheel drive hardware sells flywheels for $250
