I am looking for a model 20 Transfer case for a 1978 Jeep cherokee chief. I was told that I could find one out of a older (71-77) or so jeep. I would like to find the transfer case and crossmember all in one deal, but if not, all well........If you have any ideas, please let me know, thanks... by the way it has a 360 motor, and turbo 400 trans

The transfer cases are easy to get. It's getting the th400 to D20 adapter and the correct shift linkage that's a headache. AA has an adapter but it's expensive. the output shaft on the tranny needs to be swapped too. Easy way is to find a '66-'72 FSJ with tis combo to pilfer. After '73 all th400's had quadratracs
