49 Willys truck V8

I just picked up a 49 willys truck with an older 302 ford conversion (No motor), the running gear is all 49 willys , timken rear etc . I have a fuel injected 302 roller engine and everything to make it go. To put back in the willys. Will the willys running gear take it?

Anybody made one like this? How did it work? Did it hold up?
