My 89 Cherokee Ltd slips in and out of OD,

My 89 Cherokee Ltd slips in and out of OD, Usualy there is a 500 RPM rise and fall, sometime it jumps into second gear and won't come out until you turn off engine and rerstart. I just put a junkyard trany in and it seems to still happen. Any Ideas? Do I have two bad tranys or is it something else? I've been told it's a toyota trans,the tag says AISIN AW CO LTD model 30-40LE. Jeep has select track.
