I thought that Chrysler had made a huge mistake when they got rid of the Cherokee, and I think this "cloned cherokee" could have been much better.

What it comes down to in my mind...is that all of the new Jeeps are becoming road machines, not trail machines. I want a solid axle vehicle with metal instead of plastic.

I dunno...I like that better than the Liberty. My mom got the liberty...thats the one not meant to leave the pavement. I like the commander..mixture of a cherokee and a...uuhhh land rover? i dunno...i dont think it'd be one for off roading..keep mine for that..but i'd definatly get that one for luxury..er road trips...lol

It doesn't matter how high you lift it, a POS is still a piece of shush!, only now it'll have bigger tires so it can look prettier. I love seeing body curves mixed with hard angles, but the overall appearance of the Commander is just flat out ugly. They started the design innovation with the new GC's, and i hated those as well. i think my 93 ZJ looks better than the WK's, but the WJ's aren't all that bad. As far as performance-wise, You'd think the Commander was modeled after an army tank when comparing the Engine and body specs. Another American "Give me more horse power" product, again, like the WK's SRT8 models sporting huge HP Hemi's. Who needs a Hemi when you're trying to get through a 2 foot deep mud hole? Heck, most of the people driving Hemi's don't even understand how or why the Hemi works like it does, they just buy it for the HP and the name.
