Default Electrical Question!

Ok guys, I need some help. Today I replaced my alternator, my regulator and my battery, however, whenever the engine is running and I use my brakes or heater fan my lights dim down. Is this normal on these Jeeps? This is my first full size and have no idea what to expect. I have the 401 in it if that helps anyone. Thanks.

Ryan

Default Re: Electrical Question!

Would be nice to more about what type Jeep, Age, Miles, etc. Fill out your bio and then anyone can fill in the details...
Now with the problem..no it is not normal. If the Jeep is older look for frayed wires, bad connections. Etc
Check all ground straps, battery to body, body to frame, engine to frame, engine to body.....
Pull the tail lamps apart and look for corroded sockets, same on the front....
Bet you find the problem is corroded contacts and bad grounds.
