 90 Trooper Shift Fork Problem?
I've got a 90 trooper 4cyl 5 speed with a screwed up 1st to second shift fork. Its messed up on the top side were the shifter hits it one of the ears wore off. Anyway I replaced the forks on my 5 speed f-150 but it was easy because the top of the tranny un-bolts this looks alot more complicated! What would i be getting into to get this done? would i be better off just getting a used tranny? or taking the tranny out and take it to a tranny shop and have them replace the shift fork? Would like to get this thing going got it for free from my dad. He bought another trooper to get a tranny out of and turned out all it needed was a timming belt so we fixed it and he started driving it. Also am looking for a power steering pump and an A/C compressor. If anyone has any of these parts let me know. Thanks |
