Default Should I buy?

Living near me, there is an old lady. So old, that she never comes out of her 100+ year-old farmhouse, and has a 24 hour nurse staying with her. For as long as I can remember, a gold and white hardtop International Scout II has been parked in her driveway. It is not officially for sale, but it never moves. Looks like is has little to no body rust. My question is, should I try to buy it? Her house reminds me a little too much of Boo Radley's house from To Kill a Mockingbird. I don't want to knock on her door if its not worth it...
Anyway, what should I offer? I assume she has no knowledge of the truck's value and I could get it pretty cheap.
But what is cheap?
Suggestions?

-Thanks, Wade

I say "Go ahead and knock". The worst that can happen is you will be told "Go away, it's not for sale." At the same time, do not try to take advantage of the old woman. treat her like you would your grandma. Ask what she would like to get for it or offer her what you figure is a fair price in it's current condition. If it is meant to be, it will happen.

Make this advantageous for her. Find out information on it. What year is it? What's the mileage? Does it run? Look up other sales for a similar Scout. Get this information for HER so she at least knows what she ahs and can make a sound decision. If you go that extra length for her, she might be kind enough to sell it, even at a discounted price since you helped her out. Kill with kindness.
