Default 76 Scout Transmission
My transmission has started to slip (96,000 miles). How hard is it to rebuild the transmission? I have never rebuilt a trans. but I have changed many clutches and done other major repairs.
304 V8 with automatic and 4x4. All factory equipped.
And obviously I am on a tight budget.

Your trans may only need to be adjusted. Head on over to the forums of IH Only North. MMayben will be able to help ya out. There's plenty of information there if you do a search first (he'll recommend the same).

The same adjustment information is still listed over at binderplanet should you search over there as well.

A filter replacement / oil change and adjustment may get you back on the road for much less than a rebuild.
