Default new process 208 transfer case

when i put my burb in 4hi or 4lo it pulls and then jerks,could the chain be wore out?I changed the fluid with no improvement,i need some ideas of what to do...
This is my second 4x4,i am very mechanical,but i don't have alot of experience with transfercases,any help is appreciated.

Are you sure it's the t-case and not the front axle? Could be the ring and pinion, the ujoints on the outer axle, or the hubs themselves.

are you on dirt or pavement when this happens? the outher thing is the chain might be streched. have the axels been swaped out of another vehicle. you could have one thats 3.73 and one that is 4.11. the last thing to check is that your lockouts are actually engaging, one could be slipping. the last thing would be to check the linkage for the shifter.

My vote is for mis-matched gears front and rear. My Sub did something similar. I had thought it was running 3.73's in both ends, but it turns out the rear diff had been replaced with one running 3.42's.
