Default new 87 chevy blazer

just bought a new '87 blazer, i saw it sitting in someones backyard and so i asked the guy and he said $1000 and i showed up with $700 and took it, it was wrecked and sat for a year, it has a corprate 14 bolt rear and a 8 lug 10 bolt front with a 4 inch lift and 33's in has a fuel injected 350 with a borg warnner 4 speed manual and a np 208, i am boin to swap the rear springs into the front and some 63in. rear springs in the rear with a shackle flip.and run 35in. super swamper tsl's. what do you all think

also could it be a 8 lug dana 44 up front?

no it isnt smashed up that bad, but the left rear leaf spring was broken at both eyes, no im sure its the 10 bolt looks ecactly like mt 86 k5 6lug 10 bolt

yea it could be, i know they made a 8 lug D44 and its got 10 bolts on the diff. cover i just didnt know they made 8 lug 10 bolt axles

sounds like a sweet rig, you've got 2 blazers now right?

Does it have blocks on the rear for the current lift? If the rear spring are arched 4", then putting them up front will net about 8" of lift. If it's just blocks, then you're good to go.

They definetly made 10 bolt corp 8 lugs, the last year for the 44 was between 79-80. all the trucks/ blazers after this (besides 1 tons) used 10 bolts, no matter the lug pattern

yes i have two blazers and 1 truck now, i have a '86 1/2 ton chevy blazer, '87 3/4 chevy blazer, and a '81 1/2 ton gmc longbed, i was wondering about soft tops, whats good whats not,becuse after the wreck the top does not even come clase to fitting back on, all ive seen are soft tops for $499 to $799 this seems a little to much to pay for a soft top, so im thinkin a full rollcage and just streck some canvass over the top. any help with bee apreciated.
