Default Homemade Flat Bed???

I just got a 84 chevy 2500 from my g-pops for 500 bucks.Anyways i wanna put a flat bed made out of either wood or diamond plated steel.Does anyone have some suggestions or anything that would be helpful.

If your truck is an 84, it is an SFA (solid front axle).
This is the IFS board ( Independent Front Suspension),
So you should post your question over on the SFA board.

Over there, you won't be the only one who wants to/has
done this. A guy by teh username Resurrection Joe is in the process
of building himself a flat bed.

dont go over there and ask about a flatbed though. make sure you refer to it as the "rezzy bed" he has about 20 versions of it documented with pictured. most of the ideas are quite good.
