Default Where to hook tach wire? 93 Chevy

Hey guys, I have a 93 Chevy TBI automatic and I just bought an Autometer tach for it. I need to know where to put the wire that runs from it for the actual RPMs. It says on a coil and something about HEI. I do not have a factory tach and it says something about a tach wire on the computer too. Thanks in advance, you guys are great!

It goes on the coil,I think you unplug one wire then plug the tach wire to the coil and the one you unplugged on to it!?

The coil sounds about right. I would just try that first.

no you dont have to unhook anything. theres just an extra wire on top of the coil with a connector on it already. plug the tach hookup into it, then ground and one to dimmer and youre set
