Default intake manifold gasket

I have a single cab stepside 97 chevy silverado z71 4x4 5.7 liter v8. It is leaking coolant from the intake manifold gasket again. Had it fixed about two years ago. I am considering doing it myself this time. Truck has about 136000 miles. It appears to be leaking at the rear of the manifold (near firewall). Is there any shortcuts to fixing this problem or do you really have to take everything off the top that is in the way and move the AC compressor out of the way. From what I have read this could be a big job and take a while. Any instructions, tips and hints are appreciated.

I don't know of any short cuts to Remove and Replace the intake manifold. I do know that if some of the intake manifold bolts are not tight to the torque spec of 20 - 25 foot pounds, the intake will leak coolant.
