You can pour acetone its 4oz. to 13 gallons and it does work, its not a rumor.Yes it is a corrosive, and if you use more than that,it will break down your fuel system.
Moth balls crushed up and put in the gas tank, will in fact make your engine run quieter and will give you more horse power. That myth with moth balls was tried out by myth busters, and hands down it made the engine run great.
Many years ago, drag racers used moth balls and they still use dry ice around the air breather.
Bio Performance Powder is made up from mothballs, and a catalyst that slows down the burn on fuel. It burns slower and hotter in the engine, thus the carbon burns away that causes your plugs to foul, and the engine runs better,so you get better mileage, and you loose less fuel out your exhaust.
Then there is H2'O, hydrogen injection. For a silverado conversion,it cost about $1500, professionally installed.
You can obtain kits for less than $100.I have a friend that converted a buick regal and a land cruiser.
The buick gets 60mpg and the landcruiser get 76mpg.
Car makers can build cars to obtain these ratings, its the petroleum giants and the government that prevents it.
Its all about taxes, the one who has the most gold rules.
Tires help alot with fuel economy. The air that you pump into your tires over time it looses moisture, thats why your tires start to dry rot.The best way to extend the life,is drain all air and pump in new air.You can go with nitrogen, it will cost you,But, it doesn't break down as quick as regular air.The molecules are smaller, and it holds moisture longer, thats the only difference. Running a good oil, like a good synthetic, helps alot on fuel.
There is alot of brands out there, the best is Schaeffer's
Oil, I would recommend the 7000 series, its a moly blend.
The only thing that will come close is Mobil One. Schaeffer's has been around since 1839, and was mostly used in industrial equipment. Now, its available, and they have all sorts of great stuff. Lots and lots of testimonials from all over the globe.

Acetone is corrosive and will degrade rubber seals and gaskets. You'll be spending time and money replacing those. Kinda defeats the purpose of "saving money" doesn't it?
Don't do it. There is no magic formula or snake oil for better fuel economy. What you get from your truck is what you get. If you want to save money, find alternate ways to get around without driving. Drive less. Get a fuel efficient car. You will not magically increase mpg. |
