Hey, I have one more question for all of you. Does anyone know what the difference between the standard Chevy S10 4x4 suspension, and the ZR2 package. I know that the ZR2 has a higher stance and also comes with skid plates but what's the difference exactly? Also if I wanted to fit 31" tires on an S10 4x4, would I be better off with purchasing a ZR2, or buying a stock 4x4 and lifting it to accomidate the tire size. Money aside, I care about quality of suspenion components. Thanks for any and all help.

I think it's almost 3" wider at the frame.

195 HP motor last time I checked, vs. 160-180 on the regular S-10's

skid plates.

Heavier duty torsion bars (compared to a stock S-10 vs. a stock ZR2).

3.73 gears vs. standard 3.42 gears on the S-10.

Cooler stickers.

More aftermarket and driver web sites than a stock S-10 (unless you have a low rider).

For Instance

Personally I'd go with the ZR2 and upgrade from there. I loved my '98 S-10, but it took a lot of changes to put on 31" Mud-Terrains.
