Default Front Axle Whine

I put my '95 in 4H, for short time, switched back to 2H & now there is a whining noise coming from front end. It sounds like it'e on the passenger side. Truck still drives fine, but you really hear it when slowing down. Any ideas what is causing this?

Thanks

idk what would make it do that but try and put it back into 4H and then go into 4L and drive it around a bit then shift it back into 2H. It may have just be trying to stick or something.

Thumbs up "Whining" Blazer

Try to switch from 4hi to 2hi and vice versa again, it's probably the t-case shift linkage that is binding. Try and check to see if there is a problem; have a buddy put it in gear while you look at the linkage to see if it has enough slack. The only other thing I would suggest is to check the front differential housing for cracks and don't forget to check it for the proper amount of oil, that may possibly be the problem!!. Let me know if I can be of more help!!.
