My truck is a 94' with the cpi motor in it. It threw this code at me. It's 23 but there are 3 different versions of it.

1. say's mc dwell-all-mc cicuit solenoid low
2. say's mc dwell-84 and up-map sensor high
3. say's mc dwell-85 and up-air fuel solenoid

So, since mines a 94' does that mean I have all these wrong with it? Where are these things and how do I change them. Also my sheet for the scanner is a bit worn so i can't read it well. Some of the stuff above may be spelled wrong but let me know if you find anything. I love the motor but just wish it gave me the few problems my old tbi motor gave me. Nothing!

Off the top of my head, I'd just have a gander at cleaning or replacing the MAP.

Well, one more question. Where on the cpi motor is that located? There aren't many good pics of these that I could find. i'll assume it's something right in front of me.

Do you happen to have a repair manual for your truck?

I see what you mean. I probably have one of those around here. I just didn't know what too call it. I have a manual but it never seems too be around when I need something from it!

lol No worries. It'll give you a better direction that I can. Should have the list of codes and you can run through the testing on the sensors a little bit easier. Just get hold of your voltmeter and the book and it'll point you on the right path.

I know what you mean about books..wrong time, wrong place...right time, wrong place.... I have manuals strewn across the house for vehicles I don't even have anymore

I don't think any of these parts are too pricey unless you goto the dealer. These old ones are great for that but still give it too me when I don't know what I'm looking at.

I think so too.It's much cheaper if you'll go to salvage yards. But wait, check out this site that sells chevy s10 parts. They might have just what you need.
