1993 chevy s-10

was driving up a hill in 2wd high mode. clunk clunk and truck stoped moving up hill. tried to shift into 4wd high mode still didnt move. i then put it into 4wd low mode then it engaged and i went the rest of the way up the hill. 1993 s-10 4/4 4.3 v6 125,000 miles 5 speed manual transmission on the vehicle. is the problem the high/low shifting fork in the transfer case gone bad. where can i get another one. is there a high shifting fork and a low shifting fork or is it high/low shifting fork alone . i dont know what transfer case i have . the 4high and 4 low shifter are on the floor , manual shift thank you for any help

I don't have any problem like that with my s-10 but that is the same thing that happened to my toyota and i just sold it for next to nothing and the guy who bought it has put $3,000 and it will still only work in 4low
