350 question

ok so i have a 350 in my jeep... when warming up and running for the 1st few minutes.. it sounds great.. even when choke is on and idle is high.. still sounds good.. after a little while.. like 10 minutes of driving.. i start to hear a tapping sound.. like a valve... maybe.. im not a motor guy so i dont know.. what i do know.. or i would assume.. it cant be all that bad if its not doin it as soon as it starts.. anywho.. any idea's what it can be..

all brand new exhaust too.. so no leaks

Thanks

Chris

you might try reajusting the valves, and somtimes theres one that ticks nomater what you do. i replaced the stock cam and lifters in my 83 blbitch it had a tick after and until the day i had to scrap the truck. 5 yrs i ajusted timing, vacumm, oil pumps, carbs, even the pipes nothin worked i learned to turn the radio up. stil bugs me what oil r you using. i use castrol gtx in most of my stuff. it sounds like the oil warms up , thins a little and the lifter might chatter might try heavier weight
