Whatever happened to the Offroad Mailing List?

I'm not finding it, the archives are seemingly down - anyone know what the status is? Stefan? Willem-Jan? Bueller? Bueller?

The old mailing lists are going/have gone away.

Communication from reader-to-reader is intended to be via these forums, and from ORC out via the weekly enewsletter. There were just too much garbage, unused lists, abuse, spam instances, administration issues to keep them randomly going. It's a really "old" way of doing things, and we just don't have enough bodies to manage what was being done with them.

Notice went out several months ago to all lists we knew of, and the amount of bounces we got back verified that it really was a whole lot of garbage addresses.

Sigh, yep, that's what I figured. It's a shame though, it was a good list, Joe Sand, Willem-Jan, Stefan Roth - heck, even I'd pop out something once in a while. The archives were definitely worthwhile too, some great information in those.

Well, I for one will still proudly fly my Offroad Mailing List sticker on my wheelers. I think I've still got one or two left over from a group by ten or fifteen years ago.
