willys wagon with no vin tag. wher is vin??

I just got a willys wagon with no pink just a bill of sale. thers no block in it just a tranny. I can"t find a vin tag at all. I dont eaven know the year. but i'm thanking its 50 thru 54 because the grill has 5 bars and a two pice windshild. NEED HELP!!!!!!!

Got a frame number on it? If so, use that. Other ways to do it are find any and all other numbers, tranny, axles, etc. Given enough time you can usually research and lock in a time period with those. I had to work that way once, saved all the info, and got it signed off on by the CHP. Officer was pretty impressed with all the info, spent fifteen minutes going through it, said looks like you did your research, and I'll go with what you think.
