Recovery Trick?DangerWillRobinson.

Seeing What you guys think.I may be wrong, but I believe I read about a way to a controlled river crossing for rafts and barges using what was called a snub line? You would anchor one end to the side up river of where you wanted to get to and the other end to the crossing watercraft. Then you launched the craft into the river and the current pushed you against the rope and to the other side.Using a modified form of a snub line,if you want to get across the side of a dangerous hill and had a good anchor point midway uphill and a good anchorpoint on the side of the vehichle, could you use this as a safety line to sidehill across in an arc to a safe point?Blast away at me what you think,it's only an idea. One time it might have prevented a rollover if I could've been fast enough to explain the idea.I've never tried it.
