Default Spray-on bed liner

What is the best/most economical do it yourself bedliner. I have pulled the carpet and would love Rhino Lining or Line-X but they love itore than I can afford ($400 to $600).
I have looked at Dura Kote and am under the impression that I can spray it on with a paintgun.
All input would be appreciated.

I'm new to this side of the forum. I spent most of my time on the Jeepster board but I've been checking this one out since I just bought an old f150. To answer your question. I sprayed the entire interior tub of my Jeepster with stuff I think was called Dupli Color. I bought it at Wal Mart and think it was only $40 a gallon. It went on easy and has not peeled or seperated but I was very thorough with the prep work. It will tell you one gallon will do a bed but do yourself a favor and buy 2. I would buy the stuff and use it again if I needed to. I was impressed.

It won't spray on but a friend used Herculiner on his jeep and it looks great. I am in the process of doing the interior of my Bronco and I am going to use Herculiner too. It has chunks of rubber in it and it looks really durable. A one gallon kit was enough to do the inside of a CJ-5 twice only draw back is it cost about $100.00 for a one gallon kit. Hope this helps and Good Luck,

My buddy dave used rhino-lining on his bed, but after about a year it faded. Theres another brand out there that (chemically speaking) is identical, but they added a UV proctectant, i think its Perma-Tex, but i could be wrong. ill look into it and get back to ya

I've enever heard of this done, but if you live in a climate where the sun is a problem, you might try a thick layering of roof coating. It's designed to withstand the elements for years on southern arizona rooftops, and I bet it's cheaper than a special purpose bed-liner.
