I'm back. I've got 92 4runner 5spd., loaded. Got with 256,000 on it, knocking. Bought new long block and installed. Overheated @ 300,000, didn't check coolant often, due to leak. Had heads redone, installed. Ran barely, ck. fuel pres. at rail, none. Dumb ass me left the metal fuel rail connectors outside and wouldn't u know water=rust and clogged them both. Thoroughly clean, had injectors serviced, install. Starts right up, idles and throttle response is good. Now its got 315,000 miles, been daily driver for now. Problem after I put heads back on, going done highway I could feel in throttle a very very lite MISS. Now I've put new plugs, autozone wires and button, factory cap, no diff. Checked compression just to be sure I did install correctly. All cyl. within 5. Can rap throttle and sounds ok, at idle exh. sounds a little put-putty. I don't have a good ear for that. But when driving in any gear and try to excellerate you get a pretty good jerk or miss feel. Up steep hills or down highway. WHAT do I ck. or look at next? Doesn't seem to effect my mpg, still getting 17mpg. Replace fuel filter, don't have a banjo fitting yet for my fuel gauge to ck. pressure. Also can't get my brk. lite to go out, ckd. switch, makes lite dim a little. Checked brks. and fld. all seem well. Replaced rear shoes and adjusted e- brake up, no diff. E-brk. handle seems to come out a lil' to far. This lite does go off once in a great while, but when on it won't let me set cruise control, I like my cruise. 1 more thing, how hard to replace torsion bushings, creeking noise is frt. left when turning when going over curbs. Replaced all shocks and fluids, just did frt. diff. seal also. Thanks-Chip

Hello all...

Got a little problem with my 89 3.0 4Runner (about 40K on the rebuild 225K total). If it sits overnight, it'll start right up. Short drive and shut off for a bit and just turns over, I've tried cranking for quite a long while (4-5 tries at about 8-10 seconds each) I always give up at that point cause I know in 8 hours it'll start right up..

I'm kinda at a loss on this one, any ideas??
