YF carb accelerator pump check ball?

So I rebuilt the YF carb on my '72 commando. During the rebuild I noticed that that instead of a check ball and weight in the accelerator pump discharge circuit, there was a weighted "needle." So, I went with the ball and weight like the FSM shows and the accelerator pump did not work. I took it apart again and I went back to what was originally in it (needle), it squirted nicely and worked for a week, and now it has quit working again. I also have another size (larger) weighted needle in the rebuild kit that I've yet to try.

Before I throw that one in, does anyone know the correct check valve system to use?

My '72 has a 258 engine, TH400 transmission and the carb is a 6288S.

Hi folks,
Does the clutch conversion kit sold by the jeepsterman replace the hydraulic or the hard clutch cure?
What are the best choices to fix my clutch issue?
Thanks,

Hi Folks,
After reading many posts, I'm not sure what to do with my 67 Jeepster Convert 225 V6 3 speed.
The clutch cable snapped, I ordered a new one and then it pulled through the floor. No surprises here. So do I go Hydraulic or to the RRich hard clutch cure? I'm a Sunday driver with it only.
Need to guide my mechanic.

Rebuilding original-ish fender flares

My Jeepster has had the rear fender openings cut out to a round shape by a PO. So most of the flare is gone. I have been scratching my head how to bring them back to something that is similar to original in appearance but big enough for tire clearance. I see that another poster has done what I am trying to do using some custom bent sheet metal but I don't have access to a break. I am thinking about picking up a fender like this:

Shipshape Jeep-Style Steel Fender — 36in. Long | Trailer Fenders | Northern Tool + Equipment (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200330925_200330925)

and cutting the outer 2 or 3 inches off of it to graft onto the jeepster. Has anyone tried something like this?
