Does anyone have experience with the 2D 5 speed transaxle? I was hoping they are built as good or better than the regular 4 speed but wanted to hear some feedback before I jumped in. Thanks for any help!

SO CAL DESERT Racing Series

Hi everybody

I need some feed back on the possibility of starting a DESERT racing series in Southern California.
This would be dedicated to UTVs, Stadium Lights, CL’s and Motorcycle engined buggies.
At this point everything is up in the air. What I am trying to ascertain is if there is enough interest for such a series. In other words “If I build it, will you come?”

The races would be shorter than the normal off-road races already in place which are really meant for full sized vehicles. I am thinking loops of about 25 miles and race length of about 100 miles possibly 150 miles. The length will vary depending on class.

The most likely area would be Barstow but other areas in So. Cal such as Lucerne Valley, California City, etc are not out of the question. Probably 5-6 races a year.

Rules would be pretty much standard as used by existing series.

Please let me know just how interested you would be. I would like to know just how many already race in other series and those who may consider entering but still have to prepare a vehicle.
Thoughts, suggestion, opinions, concerns are all welcome. Please contact me at the email address below.

Thank you very much
Tony

*Super-C #6 Surprise! - December 12, 2009

RACERS*

Ok, we have a surprise for you that we think you’ll enjoy. We’ve managed to post two files on our webpage for SuperCourse #6 that will take you to Google Earth and show you the race course for our December 12 event. (If you don’t have Google Earth, go to their site and download it for FREE.)
You should be able to see every inch of the racecourse we’re proposing to use. These files will give you a pretty good idea of what’s in store for you. If you have 3D capabilities in your Google Earth, you can also use it and turn the course at any heading you wish and be able to see the terrain around it. I suggest to zoom in as close as you can and still see the ground clearly. Everyone must use the *IRC TRACKING UNIT.* There's an additional cost of $25.00 paid directly to IRC and not us. See info for details.

Below are several links for you to download as well:

*Information:* See the link below. There’s a few things you should know and if you are planning on racing I suggest you read everything. It’s important.

*Entry: http:* http://www.altavistaevents.com/09-SC6e-ONLY.jpg
*Information:* 2006 HI-DEZ SUPERCOURSE DESERT (http://www.altavistaevents.com/09-SC6-info.htm)
*Google Earth map files:* ALTA VISTA EVENTS (http://www.altavistaevents.com/09sc06.htm) - *Here's where you'll see the two Google Earth files below the artwork.*
*Normal course map:* http://www.altavistaevents.com/09-SC6rc.jpg

If you have any questions, let us know. In the meantime, send your entry in now to lock up a good starting position.

And remember, for the first time ever (we usually take you on a "parade Lap"), *WE WILL ALLOW YOU TO PRE-RUN FOR THIS EVENT ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, FROM NOON TO 4 P.M. and not before. No race day pre-running at all.* (We have people watching us and the course.) Please abide by this.

See you soon.
