Default 2.8 ford

The whole idea of using a suzuki offroading is weight. The 2.8 bolts right in and isnt as heavy as the other v6's. Plus I bought the whole car for $200 and have been driving back and forth to work for 2 months. With 5.71 gears I don't need all the power from anthing bigger. And what does any of those ???'s have to do with performance parts?

86 zuk w/soon to have 2.8 ford V6

UH,OH here we go again...
Hello Zuk,
You might try visiting John Ehmke's website www.autofab.com
He does a lot of Fords, Broncos, trucks, and Rangers.
It's a fab shop, shock store, and fiber glass shop. He makes those bubbled fenders for trucks and Toyotas too. He's got headers also.
Hope this helps, DEL

H.P. to weight is key I agree.

But if you are going to do all the hard work of installing an inferior engine and then spend more money to get the some decent power out of it you might consider using another power plant....just my opinion nothing personal.

Here is a link to engine weights...and sure the 2.8 is fairly light...but for a few extra pounds you can get a lot more HP and find parts easier.

How much does a Zuk motor weigh?

I've done several conversions in buggies and Jeeps and know some of the headaches. I also know what it is like to put an inferior engine in and regret it...in fact I yanked it out a year later and put a bigger engine in.

Lastly...you are posting in a Sand Car and Dune Buggy Section.

To find performance parts do a Yahoo key word search on "Ford 2.8 performance"

Happy Trails...
